Semi Gravy Potato Curry/
Aloo Sabzi for chats like Samosa, Kachori/
Potato Side Dish for poori/naan/rice
Hi Friends,
Do you like street food? Chaat, Pakoda, samosa, bhel puri, paani puri, katchori hmmm i know mouths there started watering. Sometimes we can indulge in those delicacies but every time its not possible. We all try to replica street food at home. This is one of the side dish i tasted with samosa, katchori etc. but did not relished much as street vendors make it much more spicy i can have. Sometimes i skip it as i can't handle that much spice. So one fine day i thought to give it a try. I usually make very simple side with potatoes with very less spices.
So this time i thought to make it to pair up with simple kachori see recipe here. Combo came out so delicious and everybody loved at my home. You can have this side with poori/roti/naan/rice/pulao etc. or enjoy with samosa, katchori as i did. Its a very easy peasy recipe. It will take hardly 15-20 min to make it. You can add potatoes without chopping in it as after cooking in cooker upto 3 whistles they will get smashed itself and rest you can do after opening with the back of spoon. So try it guys if you are making some chats then make it as side to enjoy the wholesome street food at home.

smash the potatoes with the back of ladle

now add garma masala and give it a quick mix

your aloo ki sabzi is ready

or anything you like

I served it with kachori see recipe here

I like it dipped like this

my mouth started watering
Notes:-

  1. Spices plays a major roll in this recipe. If you want to relish street food at home then you need to add all spices mentioned in the recipe otherwise you can adjust them according to your preference.
  2. You can also add tomatoes in it. I skipped it as street vendors hardly use tomatoes (its Rs. 80 kg in Delhi :) ) in there food.
  3. You can make it more thick or thin by adjusting the quantity of water in it.
  4. You can also add red or green chilly to make it spicy. I skipped both as my kids and me can't take spicy food.

HOPE YOU WILL LIKE IT
